Distributed Design is one outcome of the intersection of two global trends: the Maker Movement and the digitisation of the design discipline.

The overall strategy of the Distributed Design Market Platform (DDMP) project is to create both an online and offline "Distributed Design Market" for products, makers and designers in Europe, scalable to the world.

The focus will be on the platform ecosystem for the Fab Lab network.Activities of Platform Members are of these kinds:

• Maker in Residence;
• Maker Promotion and Showcase
• Contents and strategies for connecting Makers to Markets
• Maker to Market workshops
• Specific DDMP sections at established events (Maker Faire, FAB14, …)

Distributed Design Market Platform – DDMP is a project funded by Creative Europe Program. Polifactory, the makerspace of Politecnico di Milano, joined this network to share its projects and talents.
