The research funded with FARB Funds lays the groundwork for a constructive dialogue between manufacturing companies and young talents, investigating the two opposite poles to create an effective ecosystem that can converge them toward a common meeting point.
The objective is twofold: on the one hand, to familiarize young talents with the manufacturing reality that offers creative opportunities of equal if not greater interest than those in the style offices of big brands; on the other hand, to facilitate the induction of the same talents into the company and to create space for them to grow as high-potential profiles, with creative and technical skills suited to drive product and process innovation.

Indeed, in the contemporary, technological and digital transformation has a close relationship with process innovation, product upgrading and business expansion from which companies can no longer exempt themselves. In an industry with a high rate of innovation such as the textile-knitting sector creative and technical skills, necessary for these changes, have the need to be identified and guided starting with training, and then to be incorporated into the company in the most effective way.

The project is structured with an initial survey of the desiderata of manufacturing companies, to thoroughly understand their needs and to update training accordingly. With the results of this first phase, a digital ecosystem aimed at creating an awareness pathway for companies to trigger the student-firm link will be created. The same will function as a talent showcase available to companies: a snapshot of typical profiles with specific characteristics that companies can draw on.

Con/text

What is a digital ecosystem?

We define a digital ecosystem as the interaction of digitally connected organizations or people in a non-hierarchical exchange system. Specifically, Con-text aims to build a system that is adaptable and distributed across multiple channels, allowing businesses and young talent easy communication and sharing of opportunities, visions, ideas.
