Antonio Aiello

PhD student in Design and Master's Degree in Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on the history of Italian design and is particularly interested in the second post-war period and the relationship between polytechnic professional culture, industry, entrepreneurship and architecture.

During his academic years, he approached research by undertaking his first study projects on the themes of design history and collaborating on the development of the digital archive Expo'Sizioni, concerning the exhibition design in Italy from the 1930s onwards.

Since 2020 he has been a member of the Associazione Italiana Storici del Design (A.I.S./Design); since 2018, he has collaborated as teaching assistant to the New Interiors design workshop, since 2017 to the History of Design and Architecture course, since 2016 to the Arts & Languages of the Present course. From 2016 to 2018 he was co-teacher at the Executive Master in Design Strategy and System Innovation (Politecnico di Milano and Lantao Culture Development, Beijing). His main research interests include the history of design and the relationship with contemporary design culture, exhibitions, and the influence between arts and design
