In collaboration with Sesta Opera, Off Campus San Vittore has organized a collection of clothing and personal hygiene supplies for the inmates of “Giovani Adulti” section "Francesco Di Cataldo" of Carcere San Vittore.
The initiative aims to give a second chance to clothes and to improve the quality of time that young people spend in prison, awaiting trial, or in the process of socialization.
WHAT TO DONATE:
Used Clothing (Male or Unisex)
- YES: Shoes (without metal reinforcement), shower slippers, bath towels, hand towels, robe without belt (and without hood: if possible, assess if it can be cut), warm socks, undershirts, sleeveless or sleeved t-shirts, thermal shirts, sweatshirts and jackets (without hood or with hood removed). Underwear: only new packages accepted.
- NO: Hooded garments (if applicable: assess if it can be cut), scarves, hats, gloves, belts, underwear (briefs).
- Case-by-case evaluation: Branded clothing (if expensive brands or sought-after items, they may create internal conflicts and inequalities).
- Also collected: Plastic bottles of bathroom products (bottle size: medium/small), washed and preferably with label removed. They are reused to distribute soap, shampoo, shower gel.
