Seeds of Design: Cultivating Innovation

The fourth event in the "Lombardia = Design" series arrives in Cremona with a talk dedicated to the role of design in the agro–livestock–food sectors. The initiative is promoted by ADI Lombardia, in collaboration with Università Cattolica of Cremona and with the patronage of Regione Lombardia.

The 2025 theme, "Seeds of Design: Cultivating Innovation. Design Strategies for the Agro-Livestock-Food Sectors", will guide the discussion toward new design strategies capable of integrating sustainability, animal welfare, rural landscape quality, and industrial innovation. These are increasingly central topics for the future of Lombardy’s productive systems, in which design continues to act as a driver of research, culture, and transformation.

The talk is the result of the joint work of ADI Lombardia, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and Politecnico di Milano, with the goal of promoting a systemic vision of design applied to agri-food supply chains and fostering dialogue between companies, institutions, researchers, and local communities.

Politecnico di Milano will be represented by Venanzio Arquilla, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Product Design and the Master’s Degree in Integrated Product Design, who will speak in the second session, offering a perspective focused on strategic design, innovation processes, and system design.
