Students' work on show at MEET
The New Atlas of Digital Art
19 June 2025, from 14.30 to 17.30, Viale Vittorio Veneto, 2, Milan

As part of the event ‘The New Atlas of Digital Art’, organised by MEET, the projects realised by the Computational Visual Design course students of Politecnico di Milano School of Design, held by Prof. Marco Quaggiotto and Prof. Maristella Matera, will be presented.
The project explores the potential of generative languages for representing and activating cultural heritage in analogue and digital forms. Starting from the MEET archive, the students developed systems that can generate dynamic graphics using data and images of archive objects. This opens up scenarios for multi-channel use, such as environmental installations, publishing formats and content for digital and social media.
The objective is not to produce static artefacts, but to define transformative logics that can be applied to entire cultural datasets. Each project is a laboratory for visual and computational experimentation, where the archive is used to create new visual narratives and adaptive communication systems.
The project will be presented in session 2 ‘Living Culture Heritage’ ( 2.30-5.30 pm) on Thursday 19 June.
