DCC Moda

A small wooden and black fabric dress form dominates the foreground, with a piece of dark cloth elegantly draped over its shoulders. In the blurred background, several students are focused on manual work around large wooden tables in a bright fashion laboratory. The workspace is dotted with tools of the trade, including white paper patterns, rollers, and blue folders, creating an atmosphere of intense creative activity and craftsmanship.

The DCC Moda is dedicated to design, experimentation, and prototyping in the fields of fashion and knitwear. It comprises specialised spaces for tailoring, garment construction, and knitwear, equipped with industrial sewing machines, manual and electronic knitting machines, embroidery machines, linking machines, dress forms, cutting tables, and other professional equipment.

Thanks to the support of specialised technical staff and close collaboration with faculty, the DCC Moda enables students, researchers, and external partners to work with fabrics, yarns, leather, and innovative materials, experimenting with manufacturing techniques, pattern making, and prototyping. The laboratory provides a dynamic environment for learning and research, where craftsmanship and industrial technologies come together to support the development of new products, processes, and solutions for the fashion system.
