The image depicts an infographic titled "La distribuzione territoriale dei partecipanti," showing the geographical distribution in Italy of various entities participating in a design-related initiative. On a dark background, several blurred and colored bubbles of varying sizes represent Italian regions (such as Lombardy, Lazio, and Emilia-Romagna), where the size of each circle corresponds to the number of projects in the ADI Design Index, while a legend on the left classifies the participants into categories such as companies, universities, and research centers.

ADI Design Museum presents "Bìos - Sistema Design Italia," a video installation project created in collaboration with POLI.design - Sistema Design Politecnico di Milano and ADI Design Museum.

Design has always had a relational dimension, which has gradually expanded in the form and content of these relationships, its effects on users, its ability to facilitate social interactions, and more. "ADI Associazione per il Design Industriale" is a weaver and activator of these connections. The "Design Index" and the "Compasso d'Oro" Award, both promoted by the association, can incentivize and represent Italian design's systemic and cultural dimension.

Analyzing the database of nominations for the ADI Design Index (2011-2020), the video installation presents an organic visualization of the participants in the Award, their territorial distribution, and the corresponding number of nominated projects. The latter is represented based on the participation categories, which constitute an exciting element to represent the evolutions and breadth of the themes that design - to date - encompasses. Finally, the award winners will be "illuminated," introducing the museum tour.
