PhD, Full Professor at the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano since April 2018. Previously, she held the position of Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, School of Engineering and Architecture, and was a researcher at Politecnico di Milano, Department of Design, from 2010 to 2013.

Her work focuses on participatory design processes and methods applied to service design, interaction design, social innovation, and innovation in the public sector. Her most recent research interests concern the relationship between design culture and organizational change.

She has been the scientific coordinator of several European projects and a member of research groups in European projects, including: SIMPACT (FP7), My Neighbourhood (FP7), LIFE 2.0 (FP7), Peripheria (FP7), and SIC (H2020, Social Innovation Community).

Since May 2018, she has been a member of the research group for the European project SISCODE (H2020), which aims to introduce participatory design into RRI (Responsible Research and Innovation) processes.

She is the author of numerous publications in journals, conference proceedings, and books of international impact.
