Dance, musical performance, exhibitions, and radio discussions, as well as music, screenings, theater, DJ sets, and talks: Open Casello is launching.

Open Casello is an urban regeneration project that transforms the former customs house at Porta Genova into a place where young people in the city can take center stage, set rules, organize events, and seize opportunities for their future.

The event will start at 4:30 pm with the GeCo Camp at Emit in Piazzale Cantore 10, where attendees can engage in various activities through workshops, co-design sessions, and consultations on specific projects.
Following this, at 5:00 pm, the grand opening of Open Casello at Piazzale Cantore will officially begin.

BASE has collaborated with the Municipality of Milan, Avanzi, and Codici to jointly launch a project focused on young people.
From the beginning, the visual identity has been entirely entrusted to a group of six students from the Politecnico di Milano. The idea is that, starting in September, the programming of Open Casello will be designed and managed by young people: a custom-made program aimed at creating a space that serves as a meeting point and a place of growth for the youth community.

Additionally, Open Casello is part of the broader research project OSMOSI, coordinated by Associate Professor of the Department of Design Laura Galluzzo.
