Drawing upon examples from renowned games such as Dwarf Fortress and Moon Hunters, the intricacies of character writing and development will be analysed in-depth. The session will introduce the concept of Orthogonality in character traits, their expressions, and the art of prioritizing various types of character information, serving as a comprehensive metaphor for all aspects of system-driven writing.
