TRAMA - Cultural Transformations: Intangible Heritage and New Digital-Driven Professional Skills
Website's Project
In the post-pandemic context, cultural institutions are facing a period of profound transformation. The digital acceleration — now fully recognized as a driver of innovation — has redefined not only the ways in which cultural heritage is accessed and enhanced, but also the logic of cultural production and the skills required of professionals in the field.
TRAMA was created in response to these changes, positioning itself as an integrated ecosystem of training, research, and networking in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).
The project operates within a landscape marked by several structural gaps: the fragmentation of digital cultural enhancement experiences; the lack of an up-to-date framework of professional skills and emerging roles; the difficulty in continuously monitoring ongoing transformations; and the scarcity of tools that facilitate dialogue among institutions, creative enterprises, and educators.
In response to these needs, TRAMA proposes a digital platform capable of aggregating capable of aggregating, analyzing, and continuously monitoring practices and trends, creating a dynamic observatory of ongoing cultural and professional transformations.
Project activities are organized into five operational areas:
- Mapping experiences and skills in the ICH sector;
- Developing an active monitoring system based on an online platform;
- Designing pilot projects and training prototypes in collaboration with cultural institutions;
- Disseminating and sharing results through networking events;
- General coordination of activities and of dissemination plans.
The project targets fourmain groups of stakeholders:
- Cultural institutions and heritage holders, interested in experimenting with new models of access and enhancement;
- Cultural and creative enterprises, engaged in the innovation of languages and services;
- Trainers and researchers in the field of digital humanities, contributing to the definition of new professional profiles;
- Policy and decision-makers, responsible for supporting the sector’s evolution through targeted strategies and regulations.
Through this integrated approach, TRAMA seeks to generate a systemic impact, fostering greater awareness of the use of digital technologies in the enhancement of intangible heritage, improving understanding of the skills required for digital transition, and encouraging the sharing of experiences and best practices among professionals in the sector.
The ICHAtlas platform is not merely a technical tool, but a space for connection and vision—one that anticipates the future trajectories of the cultural sector and fosters the emergence of new digital-driven professions.
