Capacity Building on AI and Digital Transformation in the Public Sector

Marzia Mortati and Ilaria Mariani will participate in the UNESCO Conference on Capacity Building on AI and Digital Transformation in the Public Sector.

On Day 1, Marzia Mortati will speak in the “Citizen-Centric Digital Transformation” Fireside Chat, where she’ll share insights and findings from AI4GOV, a project now scaled to an executive master under scientific coordination of Francesca Rizzo; and also scaled into AI4GOVX, led by Alessandro Deserti for the Department of Design.

On Day 2, Mariani and Mortati have been invited to join a closed-door workshop organized with public administration schools. The session will focus on identifying capacity-building needs and developing an action plan.

  • Marzia Mortati will participate as a roundtable speaker, continuing to represent AI4GOV.
  • Ilaria Mariani will contribute to the discussion by bringing insights from ORBIS, on behalf of the coordinator, Francesca Rizzo.

This event is part of the preparatory work for the WSIS+20 review and will also contribute to the implementation of the Global Digital Compact, in collaboration with ITU, UNDP, UNCTAD, and UNDESA.
